Baldur’s Gate 3 has various thought-provoking puzzles, but there are 4 special chambers that you will be able to come across in the game — all located in Wyrmway. Besides the Chamber of Strategy, there is also the Chamber of Justice, the Chamber of Insight, and the Chamber of Courage.
The Chamber of Strategy is one that will test your problem-solving abilities. It accomplishes this using a giant chess board, with the players needing to move pieces in order to achieve checkmate. Do not worry, it does not require you to play an entire game of chess. You simply need to look at the current state of the board. Despite being a test of intelligence, you won’t need to use a character with a high Intelligence Ability, such as a Wizard, to move the pieces. Although, they can help by just telling you the answer. There is one rule you need to follow, the dark king must fall in only two moves.

Before you can solve this chamber, you will first need to find it. Head on over to Wyrmway, then make your way to X: -870, Y: -990 on the map. This will bring you to a pair of large doors. Through these doors will be the chamber and the puzzle you need to solve. Once you enter, you will notice there is a large crystal formation on the staircase. This formation will prevent you from going any further down the stairs, so you will need to jump over the railing to the floor on the other side and make your way to the Northeast.
You will now come across the large chessboard. To solve this puzzle using just 2 moves, you will need to move the white queen twice. Click it, and the board will have several squares light up blue. Move the white queen to capture the black pawn on the far right to get the black king in check. This will cause the black king to move out of check. Now, use the same queen to capture the pawn next to the king. This is checkmate because the king is in check from the white queen, it cannot move out of check, and the white queen cannot be taken thanks to the white bishop. You can see the final positions of all the pieces in the image above. You can now make your way to one of the other chambers to face its trial.
